Pros: - Graphics are decent but not over the top, good enough to look good and plays well on mid-range systems - Lots of interesting ships you can command and surface vessels/aircraft - Captures that old school feel of this type of genre Cons: - A little rough around the edges, the interface is a bit weird but you get used to it, there was also one case where at the start of a campaign mission my sub got spawned in the ground and instantly sunk, but that's only happened once - The campaign is cool but the odd time some weird stuff happens like you being assigned a task but not being able to actually complete it because it expires before you can arrive there Other then that recommend this game for anybody who was into those old sub sim games. It's a good balance of the sim aspects with fun, and it's fairly action packed (you don't really spend a lot of time waiting around for anything). If you're at all interested in the setting and enjoy games with deliberate, thoughtful gameplay then this title is certainly worth looking at. Also of note is the fact that the game does allow for UI rescaling so this game is suitable for use with UHD 4k screens, and looks fantastic on them. The tutorials are perhaps not as thorough as one might hope, and there are a few critical functions which are bafflingly only attached to shift+a key bindings which should definitely be given buttons on screen, but other than that the user interface is good and provides critical information well.
Overall the gameplay is tense and can be paced to your own tastes through the use of time compression.
